Folkloric Devilry is coming along nicely…
I’m in the midst of the first draft of Folkloric Devilry, and loving being there, writing daily, though a part of me is getting rather emotional that this will be the last in the Folkloric series.
I thought you might be interested to see a bit of the research behind the novel.
I have to say though, at this stage in the process, there is a chance that it will all change, that I rip bits out. But for now anyway…
Chateau de Gudanes is Elivorn’s place of residence in the human realm. Isn’t it stunning? It’s not far from Tarascon-sur-Ariège in the Pyrenees mountains where the series is set, and you can actually stay there.

And a place on the French/Andorran border nearby, wonderfully named The Coume d’Enfer—Hell’s Hollow! Stuff has to happen there. Love those Pyrenean mountains! And thanks to Google Earth that I don’t have to take a hike to check it out, although I’d love to if I could get away for five minutes.
Oh, and this lovely little place is Lucas’s consulting rooms as particularly featured in Folkloric Trickery, though I’m sure the shutters will be open when he’s doing morning surgery!

As for me, I’ve been hightailing it away from this beautiful little fairy mount before the tide comes sweeping in, high above knees! My son and I escaped with only a minor trouser soaking.
